A ska band that formed in 1995. I don't know much about the background of this band, but I like their music. It is fun and catchy. I've seen them live once and really enjoyed the show (the people I dragged to the show with me liked them better than the headliner, MxPx). Kind of geeky (a good thing) and a little similar to The Impossibles and Real Big Fish.

They are:

Ariel Rechtshaid -- Lead Vocals, Guitar, Synth
Louis Castle -- Backing Vocals, Trumpet
Rich Zahniser -- Trombone, Moog, Farfisa, Keys
Danny Rukasin -- Trombone
James Bairian -- Bass
Kyle Briggs (Drums, Percussion)

Albums include: Heads are Gonna Roll and Forget The World. They don't include: Country Breeze(They really blew it this time.), The Hippos Greatest Hits(Includes No Hit Singles), Let's Party with The Hippos Vol.2(An even bigger flop than Volume 1. This is just awful.), or Holiday with The Hippos(contains nothing you'd ever want to listen to.)
