I would like to cordially invite all noders to take part in The Great E2 Fin de Siècle Fiction Challenge.
The Rules
- Write a short story, to be no longer than can be contained in a single wu.
- The story must contain all the words or phrases in The List. They need not be in any specific order.
- Your story must have its own title, and must be noded under that title, and then you should /msg me so that I can hardlink it from here. Softlink to this node, if you choose, but you must not identify the piece as a competition entry within the body of the write-up.
- Judging will be based on the quality of writing, imagination and seamless integration of the words and phrases.
- The challenge will end at midnight server time on 1 September 2001

I will also write a story, but it will not be included in the competition.
