, whose soundtrack also sported
The Primitives
' remix of their own

and a disturbing version of

Hurdy Gurdy Man

Of note concerning
The Ballad
is that it marks the first widespread Crash Test Dummies release that features
Ellen Reid
on lead vocal rather than
Brad Roberts
' trademark bass-like voice. Also, for reasons unknown, the Dummies eliminated the verse concerning
empty churches

shopping malls
