| I do a digest of unpopular music on the WWW, often having to translate bits of various radio station listings into English. On Czech Radio, Ensemble Déjŕ vu will be performing a modern work (Musica ambigua) on instruments of the Baroque Music era and, says the radio listings, a tapedeck. Not unusual; composers have used taped electronics alongside acoustic instruments before. But it was a goof: they translated "recorder" (the proto-flute) as "magnetofonový pás" - a tape. |
