T-16 Skyhopper

The Incom T-16 "skyhopper" is an atmospheric pleasure and utility aircraft. Using twin DCJ-45 repulsorlift engines for lift and an Incom E-16/x ion engine for thrust, the T-16 can go the distance (excess of 1,000 kilometers per hour, and its flight ceiling of 300 kilometers) in any planetary atmosphere. The cockpit is pressurized to withstand such sub-orbital travel, and along with the engine cluster is located in the center of trihedral wings.

The T-16īs controls are laid out similarly to the the T-65 X-wing starfighter. As a result, pilots who have trained on the T-16 have little trouble when behind the stick of a T-65 (such as Luke Skywalker in A New Hope he had one of these in the garage... Remember him playing with the model?).

The standard skyhopper is weaponless, but Incom makes various upgrades which make the T-16 available for security, escort and policing duties on several worlds.
