| Well, it's now a few years since the previous writeup (which now no longer exists, but had mentioned a lack of news about Static-X after their first album), and Wayne and the rest of Static-X are still around. (Wayne being the singer/guitarist, the rest being Tripp - guitar, Tony - bass and Ken - drums). They released an album (Machine) in 2001 and had moderate success, at least on MTV2, with the first single, Black and White. They are also to be featured, along with Chester Bennington, Jonathan Davis, Marilyn Manson et al, on the soundtrack of the upcoming film The Queen of the Damned, based on the book by Anne Rice. It stars Aaliyah and is meant to not be so good. Tom Cruise stayed well away. |
