Starflyer 59 started in 1993, when Jason Martin gave a tape of his music to Brandon Ebel (soon to start T&N). Ebel was thrilled to hear the new sound, which can best be described as britpop mixed with heavy feedback and distortion -- very mellow. Since '93, the band's membership has extended to 4 people - J. Martin, J. Cloud, J. Esquibel, and J. Dooley.
