I pulled these three words from the lyrics to the "Exhumation of Virginia Madison", by Strung Out, an awesome punk-rock type band whom I happen to love dearly.
The term creates an image of someone whose gaze happens to be transfixed, steady, and focussed on something beautiful, magical.. alluring, like the stars on a crisp, clear night.
In relation to the song, it seems to be describing the gaze of a deceased person.. I guess the man thinks that she looks as if she were thinking of something beautiful just before, or as she passed on. |
