| The Sindy doll is the British version of Barbie.
First created in 1963, while still providing young girls with a toy they could play dress ups with, Sindy is a more politically correct doll in that her proportions are slightly more realistic and her face much rounder. She looks more like a young girl than a busty supermodel. Not quite as glamorous but a much better role model.
Some of the latest Sindy dolls are "Digimon Sindy", "Sabrina Sindy" (as in Sabrina the Teenage Witch), and "Mermaid Sindy".
While Sindy is yet to find that special man in her life she does have a cyber dog called Teksta.
