STAR Team is a
program
found in the schools of
Broomall
, but its mostly used in
Paxon Hollow Middle School
.
Students
could report other
students
who had problems which they thought needed to be dealt with. Examples included
drug addiction
and
depression
. After being referred to STAR team, a
student
would have his/her parents come in and talk to
guidance counselor
s and school
staff members
. Unfortunatley this system is/was
abused
. Instead of people with serious problems being turned in to it, people would sign up people who they were
pissed off
at as a cheap way to get back at them. If enough students mentioned another student, they would have to go through the program. If a
staff member
signed a student up, they almost surely would be put into it. Nowadays its prolly used to get back at
goths
,
nerds
, and
losers
for being different.
