A 2x2x2 version of Rubik's Cube. The rules are the same as in the
3x3x3 cube: you should rotate each face until the four square on each face have the same color. It looks like this:

The Mini-Cube has only 3.6 million combinations but, according to the
official website, "many people, including Erno Rubik, say that it's
harder than the original". This is plain propaganda. If you already
know a technique similar to the one very
well described by Cow Of Doom, then do not buy a 2x2x2 cube because you
will learn nothing new. And if you have no cube at all, acquire a 3x3x3
cube because it will be more challenging.
Now I'll give hints to solve it, so stop reading if you want to try it on your own.
Solving Rubik's Mini Cube is exactly like setting the corners
on a 3x3x3 cube.

is to set the corners on one face, which is very easy, then to set them on
the opposite face, which is a little more difficult. |
