A type of fireworks, Romans are long tubes that have 6-12 "shots" or small artillery-like shells in them that shoot off in colored balls. You can hold them, but I've seen them blow up before. They are coolest duct taped together in a bank of seven and propped up somewhere, and lit all at once. This can be accomplished with the help of several friends, or with cannon fuse.
