One of the London boroughs, on the edge of the Home Counties and, as the name says, on the Thames. Known as a Royal Borough because it has a Royal residence in it, namely Hampton Court. Covers the areas of Kew, Sheen, Barnes, Mortlake, Richmond, Teddington and Twickenham.
Richmond itself is a beautiful place; pretty, mostly 18th-century village, pleasant walks down the river, and Richmond Park to have picnics in, and get followed by deer.
