Pisciforma is one of the taxonomical suborder names of the mayfly (order Ephemeroptera). You may recognize Pisciforma as the Latin word meaning "fish-bodied." This is because mayflies of the Pisciforma suborder generally have filaments that aid in swimming, and simple gill structures which aid in underwater breathing.

Although there are six families beneath the Pisciforma suborder, the most common one by far is the Baetidae family, which contains the mayflies most commonly seen in the United States, the celebrated blue wing olive.
