Phase 10 is an engrossing (non-collectable) card game for 2 to 6 players published by Fundex Games. It's much like playing rummy with an Uno deck. Each deck has 108 cards: 24 sets of cards numbered 1-12 in red, orange, yellow, and green, four `skip' cards, and eight `wild' cards. There are, as you might expect, 10 `phases', and each phase is a different combination of cards that you have to achieve with your hand:

1. 2 sets of 3
2. 1 set of 3 and 1 run of 4
3. 1 set of 4 and 1 run of 4
4. 1 run of 7
5. 1 run of 8
6. 1 run of 9
7. 2 sets of 4
8. 7 cards of the same color
9. 1 set of 5 and 1 set of 2
10. 1 set of 5 and 1 set of 3

A `set' is a group of cards with the same number, regardless of color. A `run' is a series of cards in numerical order, regardless of color. Each hand, the object is to be the first to complete the phase by achieving the objectives of that phase. When a player does that, he or she moves on to the next phase while (and here's the fun part) all the other players who do not complete the phase remain at the previous phase. Thus during a game players will be working on different phases at the same time. However, more than one person can complete a phase in the same round because the round does not end until the first person who completed the phase discards his or her entire hand.

The first person to complete phase 10 wins the game.
