Permeability

Permeablity of free space, μ_O.

Defined in terms of the permittivity of free space ε_O and the speed of light c.

μ_O=1/(ε_Oc²)

μ_O=4πx10^-7 Weber/ampere-meter

The relative permeabilty μ_r of any material of permeability μ is given by μ/μ_O.

The magnetic flux density B and the magnetic field strength H are related by the permeability.

B=μ H=μ_r μ_O H

The quality or state of being permeable.
