| Pansexual describes individuals whose attraction to people is not limited by their biological status or by their gender preference. It also refers to a sort of movement that embraces and encourages open expression of gender and partner preference regardless of sex. It is inclusive as well of those aspects of technology that allow sex roles to be changed permanently or temporarily. While previous models of sexuality and community included such isolated distinctions as high femme lesbian females, high femme lesbian transsexual born-males, androgynous males, androgynous transgendered born females, butch bisexual men, etc.., pansexual people participate in a sex- and gender- diverse world without stressing the relationship between gender and biology, gender and sexual preference, or sexual preference and biology. |
