Hunster S. Thompson's fearless lawyer sidekick in the novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Very violent drug user. Disappeared on a boat out in the pacific sometime in the mid-seventies and was never heard from again. HST wrote an epitaph.

Dr. Gonzo, as Hunter S. Thompson called him in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, also wrote two books: Revolt of the Cockroach People, about his involvement with the "brown power" movement in LA during the late 60s and early 70s, and his autobiography, The Autobiography of a Brown Buffalo.
