A Note on Sources:
Enemies of Christianity, revisionists, and people who just really, really want to sell books have produced a great number of articles, books, and websites on the subject of the debt Christianity owes to paganism. Some of them are factual and authentic; the authors of others, however, got caught up in greed, hate, or some other kind of passion, and the product was a work containing half-truths, specious arguments, or downright lies. Similarly, some members of the Christian camp who believe that drawing a relationship between Greek Religion and Christianity would discredit their beliefs have gotten caught up in an equal passion and reply to arguments for a relationship between Greek mythology and Christianity with fruitless attacks that don't actually respond to questions raised. Interestingly, many such books and websites actually have some seemingly good interpretations of hard evidence; they simply mire it in muck.
