Another memorable right wing maniac troll on Slashdot: I claimed that the hydrogen bomb is merely a harmless noisemaker, while fission bombs are truly destructive. I backed up this claim by pointing out (probably wrongly, but that's not important) that the fission bomb was developed under the Roosevelt and Truman administrations (radical left-wing socialist Democrats), while the hydrogen bomb was developed while Eisenhower (a Republican) was in office. Quod erat demonstrandum, eh? I mentioned that no one has ever been killed by nuclear fusion, while many thousands were killed by fission in Hiroshima and Nagasaki -- which only goes to prove what we knew all along, that the Democrats (a.k.a. socialists) are bloodthirsty racist mass murderers.

I embroidered it all with a story about how Roosevelt created the Great Depression by implementing the New Deal, his goal being to destroy the economy (and of course Democracy and The Constitution, leftist that he was) and thereby impose a socialist dictatorship.

People spent an amazing amount of time rebutting this bizarre gibberish. It made me proud to be an American.
