She painted me reading, which I thought
wrongly
was innocent enough
not realizing,
as usual ,
that her motives were ulterior & hidden & sneaky
The book she painted
not the one I actually held
was War and Peace
more dramatic than necessary I would have said
if she asked (she didn't).
Her stabbed torso was also not there,
but it was on the canvas, added later,
bare-violated-exposed.
She, the victim, apparently
& I the oppressor-sadist-vile.
A picture is worth a thousand words
