Mountain Dew Baja Blast

created by Silpheed

(thing) by Silpheed (2.4 y) (print)   ?   (I like it!) Wed Jul 28 2004 at 5:04:45

Mountain Dew Baja Blast is a new subspecies of Mountain Dew, which seems to have been hideously mutated by prolonged exposure to cheese, hot sauce, and various other "Mexican" food accoutrements found near the drink fountains at Taco Bell. The aforementioned Pepsi subsidiary appears to be the exclusive distributor of the new beverage.

Baja Blast, unlike its New and Improved cousins, actually tastes somewhat like Mountain Dew. It's like classic Dew with more lime in it. A lot more. It tastes a bit like a limeade from Sonic, but more, er, Dewey. The lime flavor gives it some much needed bite, providing a refreshing change from the other variants, which I find to resemble lightly carbonated Kool-Aid. Aside from the alliterative appeal to the X-Treme demographic, this is a nice improvement on a drink that I am taking much too seriously, and I fully recomend it to anyone craving something biteous (in a good way) to go with their tortilla with cheese, meat, or vegetables.

Nutrition info/ingredients will be forthcoming once I find 'em...neither the Mountain Dew website nor the Taco Bell site make mention of the new Dew. For ingredients and such, see below.

The Baja Blast official website is www.dewbajablast.com, though there isn't much useful information there (bloody Flash). However, there is a page to find which major cities PepsiCo has deemed to bestow Blast upon (look for a weather report looking thing), and printable paper surfboards. Woo.
