The Moog Cookbook is a mysterious duo (dressed in space suits, actually Roger Manning and Brian Kehew of Jellyfish) who re-arranged a bunch of mid to late 90's alt-rock songs with antique synthesizers. Subjects included The Offspring's Come Out and Play, Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, Green Day's Basket Case, Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun, and Neil Young's Keep on Rocking in the Free World. Their second album, Ye Olde Space Band, released in 1997, reworked classic tunes by KISS, David Bowie, the Eagles, and Van Halen.

There is something so screamingly funny about the music of this group it's hard to describe. Parody is always funny, but it gets funnier if done with these synthesizers. There are heavy influences by classic rock, funk, jazz, game tunes and almost everything else. I can only fail at depicting the wildly varying styles and soundscapes... but nevertheless I tried for some songs:
