Even less known than the Montreal Maroons are the Montreal Wanderers.
The Wanderers were one of the founding members of the NHL. They played in the league for most of the 1917-1918 season. Sharing their home rink (Westmount Arena) with the now legendary Montreal Canadiens. The team folded in January 1918 after the Westmount Arena was destroyed by fire.
