This is a melon liqueur made by Suntory (who also makes, for example, vodka). The label reads "imported", but you may be surprised that the country of origin is only Mexico, not Japan. Its color is a rich green, with a distinctive bottle shape. It is 21% ethanol, making it 42 proof. Its flavor is allegedly based on that of the honeydew melon.

Anyway, midori is also the Japanese word for green without any blue tinge to it (if there's any blue in it, it's aoi instead).
