The common part of the current flowing through a particular mesh of an electrical circuit. Unlike the nodes in node voltages, the actual current in various branches of a mesh can vary. Thus, a mesh current is merely a portion of the current in a branch -- to calculate the whole current in a branch, one needs merely add up all of the mesh currents that travel through the branch.
