Matt Frewer

Matt Frewer was born on January 4 1958 in Washington, D.C., raised in Canada, and stage-trained at Old Vic in England. While in England he started his work in the theatre in the National Youth Theatre. As a committed environmentalist, he works as a spokesperson for the Rainforest Action Network. He, along with his wife Amanda Hillwood and their daughter, divide their time time between Malibu and the Gatineau Hills of Quebec. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, reading, writing, and playing with his daughter.

His claim to fame is definitely his role as the mid-eighties faux CG character Max Headroom. Although he has done a lot of voice-acting work for animated shows, he has stated that he prefers to be on-camera. He also prefers to portray villains, because "all bets are off and you have a much wider range."
