University city in Germany, by train 30 minutes south of Frankfurt and 1 hour north of Stuttgart. Founding place of Mannheim Gold. University city known for management and business administration.

Reasonable climate. In the valley between the Rhein and Neckar rivers.

Generally considered to be a less-than-attractive city, though its neighbor Heidelberg is gorgeous.
