All news channel and companion website. A joint venture between NBC News and The Microsoft Network (and apparently Newsweek). MSNBC offers more indepth coverage of stories than most other networks. In addition to live newscasts they also broadcast some business news from sister network CNBC, a simulcast of Don Imus's radio show, and a magazine show called MSNBC Investigates which includes segments from NBC's Dateline.

Overall the journalism seems to be less yellow than CNN but more so than CBS (that is, as long as the story is not about Microsoft).

There is also a Canadian version called MSNBC Canada which is mostly a simulcast of the American signal with Canadian advertising and a smattering of Canadaian programming, mostly from the CBC.
