Look around you

The first series consisted of eight episodes:

Some of the highlights of the series:

• Maths stands for Mathematical Anti-Telharsic Harfatum Septomin. Did you know the largest number is around 45 billion?
• Germs originate in Germany.
• Sulphur is the friend of sailors everywhere, because it is used in the production of butter.
• Champagne is well known for its high Iron content.
• The Harrington 1200 songwriting machine, which you've probably never seen yourself because it costs almost a thousand pounds.
• Iron's full name is Iron de havilland.
• Helvetica Scenario, where the structure of Calcium molecules collapses.
• The equipment used in the experiments. These include the "Bessel Heim" plate, "Ravens Croft" pan and the "Jane Grey" tube.
• Pea brains, which peas use to communicate with other peas, determining their daily duties and status in the pod.

• The "Look around you follows shortly" introduction, which was the trademark of the Television for Schools and Colleges programmes.
• Easter egg: Every episode features a tiny owl hidden somewhere in the scenery.
