This was written by John Keats in 1814 or 1815. Algernon Sydney, Sir William Russell,
and Sir Henry Vane, leaders of the whig party, were believed to have been involved in the Rye House Plot
to execute Charles II and his brother James in 1683. The plot was
found out, and they were executed for treason on somewhat flimsy
evidence.

Infatuate Britons, will you still proclaim
His memory, your direst, foulest shame?
Nor patriots revere?
