Liliane Rudabet Gloria Elsveta Sobieski was born in New York, on June 10, 1982. She is the daughter of freelance writer Elizabeth Sobieski and French painter Jean Sobieski (also the brother of Roby born in 1989). She has dark blonde hair, blue eyes and is 5'9" tall. She currently resides in New York.

A casting agent discovered her while scouting the cafeteria of a New York City private school. The man asked Leelee to audition for a role in Interview With The Vampire (1994) which she ended up losing to Kirsten Dunst. At the age of thirteen she starred in the TV movie Reunion (1994) and later in A Horse for Danny (1995). Her first feature film debut was the Tim Allen Disney movie Jungle 2 Jungle (1997). This lead to a role in Deep Impact (1998) and a leading role in the 1999 TV miniseries Joan of Arc. She is known for landing a role in Stanley Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut", the Drew Barrymore flick "Never Been Kissed", "The Glass House" and the teen film "Here On Earth".

Collects locks of hair from major stars appearing with her in films. Tom Cruise refused to participate when filming Eyes Wide Shut (1999).

Her father is somewhere in line to the throne of Poland. He has a title that he does not use. The entire family, on her father's side, are direct desendents of Jan III Sobieski, who was kind of Poland from 1674-96.

Earned $1 million for her role in The Glass House.
