| Name of the album, by Jackson Browne, and also one of the neatest pieces of cover art I know about, since it is both representative of the title, and the tone of the album. The cover shows a quiet suburban street and a simple 1930s style row house at dusk. There are lights on in the home and a streetlight is on near the home. Behind the home, and the trees that surround it, it is daylight (it is an edited photograph).
The contradiction fits both the title song and many of the other songs on the album, most of which are about conflicted relationships.
I think Jackson Browne never would have written lyrics after 1972 if they had marketed Prozac back then. |
