It containes a magnificent duet (Flower Duet) between Lakmé and Mallika where in they are collecting lotus flowers as gifts to to the gods for protecting her father Nilakantha while he is gone. TKALSS: Eastern maiden (Lakmé) falls in love with Western military man (Gerald), then kills herself when he betrays her.
