A one-time item that is one of the coolest in Super Mario Bros. 3. Appearing only in World 5, Level 3, Mario would encounter a Goomba riding in a green shoe with a wind-up key on it. Pretty appropriate, since Goomba's Japanese name is Kuribo (Kuriboo to be exact). If the Goomba was hit from underneath when it was on a block, it would fall off and Mario could get in the shoe, allowing him to stomp on lots of enemies (including Spinies), and to walk on those small black flowers. Unfortunately, once you finished the level, the shoe would disappear.
