Dr. Korbinian Brodmann (1868 - 1918), a
german born neuroanatomist. He is chiefly remembered for
mapping the different areas of the
human brain based upon subtle differences in
cellular architecture. His system of
Brodmann's Area's was the first
standardized method of
brain anatomy nomenclature, and it forms the basis for the
modern day study of the
localization of brain function -- as well as the interpretation of many cognitive neuropsychology experiments that use neuroimaging methods.
