This is a beautiful little island to the East of Phuket and West of Krabi in Southern Thailand. Home to a small town, no more than maybe 6 or 7 sets of bungalows, and very few people, it's an ideal spot to hide from human contact awhile. From Phuket, it can be reached by longtail mail boat at Bangrong pier. This boat will deliver you to the more business-oriented side of the island and for a reasonable fare, songthaew drivers will take you around to the various bungalows there. Unfortunately, the other side (which is much quieter) must be reached via a horrible dirt road and songthaew drivers will charge up to triple the rate to get there. A cheaper approach would be to come to Yao Noi from the mainland near Krabi most likely.
