How many of you use screenshots as the main criteria in deciding whether to download a piece of software and give it a go? As shallow as it may seem, whenever I visit a page I almost always look for a screenshot link to take a look at the software 'in action'. This is especially true when I am looking for new software to run with gnome, which I have been doing a lot in the last few days.

I can read a long list of features and be impressed by what a program is meant to do but without a nice screenshot I feel hollow and empty inside. Maybe it is a visual need I have. Maybe it's a guy thing. Who knows.
