Jocasta Complex

A much rarer disorder than, say, the Oedipus complex, though in the same vein. Named after Oedipus' mother, Jocasta, this disorder involves the mother perpetrating the incest, instead of the son.

Some think that Sigmund Freud's conception of every male having some sort of Oedipal leaning was misguided, and it was, in fact, the other way around.

Sometimes this also refers to a type of delusion where the person deliberately ignores the existence of a particular object or person, since, in the myth, Jocasta knew about the incest before Oedipus did.
