Jinn, Djinni, Djinn
Arabian spirits. They were born from fire, and ruled the earth for a really long time. Then Adam came, and something happened to them. I'm not sure what.

Anyway, they can change form at will, and can see into the future. They were created out of smokeless flame, while humans and angels were created out of clay and light.
They can be controlled by incantations and rituals.
