| Vocalist and bassist for the band Drugstore. Born in Brazil, she moved to London, England in 1990. After singing in a number of short-lived bands, she enlisted the help of guitarist Mike Chylinski to create Drugstore. At first they actually held auditions for the vocalist position after Isabel claimed to hate her voice. She later decided nobody who had auditioned "fit" and so she took the position.
There has been talk that Isabel had an affair with Thom Yorke of Radiohead around the time of the production of their duet "El President". She denies it saying "It's not like that. I am a friend of his girlfriend. And he is so short! I like tall men. But I won't say that there wasn't an atmosphere of seduction..." |
