A company of the so called new economy. The origins of Intershop lay in Jena, East Germany. The HQ today is in San Francisco. Intershop was one of the first creators of e-commerce applications.
Until 1999 they deliviered out-of-the-box solutions to create own Internetshops. In 1999 they changed their focus and developed "Enfinity" - a tool for large-scaled Business-to-Business Portals.
Whilst being one of the pioneers of the e-business hype Intershop was not able to realize any profit in the last 7 years.
