International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers

A trade union representing technical workers in the utility, radio, and TV industries; and TV newsroom workers. Affiliated with the AFL-CIO. It was founded as the "Electrical Wiremen and Linemen's Union, No. 5221, of the AFL" in 1890. Local 1 still operates in that city.
