| I would hang the picture on my wall; it would have to be in black and white, too, because I remember details better when they're monochromatic.
But instead I just stare, and try to memorize, every night while you lie sleeping, tangled in the sheets and your own web of fantasies. I hope they aren't nightmares.
I wouldn't take a picture of you sleeping, at least, not with a camera. You look so serene, and quiet - not worried, like you always are, about me or college or life in general. Knowing that I'm one of the lucky few to have seen that face, smoothed of all its hidden demons...capturing that on film would be betrayal.
Eventually I'll finish burning every detail into my fingertips. Until then, keep on sleeping.
