Listen, okay, it's not true. Even if i do bake bread and believe in rights and hate the man, read poetry, have long hair, dispute gender issues, and sleep on a futon on the floor... i'm not a hippie.
My "boyfriend" says he's not a hippie either, and much more vehemently, but he was on Phish tour for a year, and took a lot of acid & other hippie things i never did. So you can draw your own conclusions on that.
I'm not sure where the reticence comes from, perhaps it's that the word has different connotations now than before. (pseudo-hippies) |
