Harlan Coben is a mystery/suspense writer who hails from New Jersey. His best known books revolve around Myron Bolitar, a former government investigator turned sports agent, who always finds himself in difficult situations. While this may seem incredibly cheesy, these books are actually quite fun to read. Coben has a very witty, sarcastic sense of humor that shows through his writing.

A note for the conservative audience: Coben can be slightly graphic while describing crime scenes. He also has a best friend who has no conscience and who, at the drop of a hat, has no problem disfiguring or torturing someone in his way. There is also mild cursing in most of his books. While Coben is not a literary genius, his books are really quite entertaining.
