The Little Dome at MIT, like the Great Dome, is a popular target for hackers. Situated above Lobby 7, the Little Dome is less widely visible than its taller partner, but has the advantage that anything put on top of it doesn't need to be carried up a sheer 20-foot-high wall.

Hacks that have appeared on the Little Dome include:

• Christmas lights and presents for the holiday season
  
• A "Non-denominational holiday nine-branched candelabra", to match the "non-denominational holiday shrubs" in the lobby below
  
• An astronaut for the 25th anniversary of the moon landing
• An oversized witch's hat one Halloween
• A giant pressure cooker during exam week. The inscription beneath the dome was changed to read "Contents Vnder Pressvre".
