Gravity of Love is a single off Enigma's album The Screen behind the Mirror. The song starts off with a repeated phrase from Carmina Burana, with vocalist Ruth-Ann Boyle taking over as the chords comes in. Then the percussion starts and the drums set in which are exactly the same as those heard in Return To Innocence. (These drums are one of the most sampled drum patterns in music and originally come from Led Zeppelin). Just after the chorus Engima fans will be in for a treat as a familiar quote from the first Enigma album: The path of excess leads to the tower of wisdom is used.

It is a slow song, at only 70 BPM. This matches the choir from Carmina Burana and the orignal Led Zeppelin drum pattern. Of all the other Enigma singles it probably has the most in common with Beyond the Invisible, however the inclusion of Carmina Burana shows a new trend from Enigma. For the first time a well-known piece has been sample and incorporated into an Engima track. The track runs for 3.56. Credits and Lyrics for Gravity of Love are as follows:

Gravity of Love

"O Fortuna
velut Luna"

Turn around and smell what you don't see
Close your eyes ... it is so clear
Here's the mirror, behind there is a screen
On both ways you can get in

Don't think twice before you listen to your heart
Follow the trace for a new start

What you need and everything you'll feel
Is just a question of the deal
In the eye of storm you'll see a lonely dove
The experience of survival is the key
To the gravity of love

"O Fortuna
velut Luna"

--------Whispers---------
Woman :
The path of excess leads to
The tower of Wisdom

Man :
The path of excess leads to
The tower of Wisdom
---------Whispers----------

Try to think about it ...
That's the chance to live your life and discover
What it is, what's the gravity of love

"O Fortuna
velut Luna"

Look around just people, can you hear their voice
Find the one who'll guide you to the limits of your choice

But if you're in the eye of storm
Just think of the lonely dove
The experience of survival is the key
To the gravity of love.

"O Fortuna
velut Luna"
