| Director/Photographer and son of Gordon Parks Sr., the much heralded Life Magazine photographer, writer, and movie director.
Parks Jr. was one of three children born to Parks, Sr. and his first wife. The younger Parks longed to follow in his famous dad's footsteps. He had some success as a photographer and went on to direct the multi-million dollar grossing blaxploitation flick Superfly in the 1970s.
While filming another movie in Africa, Parks Jr. was killed in a plane crash. |
