Also known as "smooth" jazz, "light" jazz, or fusion. It's a pejorative term for music that's marketed as jazz, but has the substance of muzak. It's essentially Yuppie (or Buppie) Elevator Music, or "Jazz For People Who Don't Like Real Jazz". Kenny G is the most famous example, but even some (real) jazz artists (Herbie Hancock, George Benson) have gone this route. Fuzak is to jazz as John Tesh is to rock or NT is to kickass, stable operating systems
